I've just been playing a lot of Diablo III lately. A lot.
I thought I'd take a moment (just for the hell of it) and list a few games coming out in the remainder of 2012 that I'm looking forward to playing. Just before E3 is probably a good time to take stock of things, and then I'll do so again after and we can compare the two lists for endless hilarity, no doubt. As is the norm with this type of thing, I'll probably end up buying half of these and only playing one or two, but here goes anyway:
X-Com: Enemy Unknown
Halo 4
Assassin's Creed 3
Darksiders II (though I still need to play the first)
X Rebirth (is this still happening?)
Borderlands 2
Dark Souls PC
Hmmm, I guess this is a shorter list than I'd thought. Some iffy entries and games that have already come out this year that I don't have yet:
The Walking Dead
Max Payne 3
Mass Effect 3 (big maybe, I'm grudging against EA right now)
Torchlight II (maybe sometime, but it seems redundant that Diablo III is out)
Day Z mod for Arma II (I'd have to buy Arma II, will wait until the mod is more mature)
Hitman: Absolution (depending on how it turns out)
Dishonored, probably
That's all I can think of for now...

I really need to get back to Diablo 3. I intended to do so this weekend but Civ 5 sucked me in like a black hole. What was supposed to be a short session on my first single player game turned into a 6-7 hr. marathon. I really did not expect to like Civ 5 so much but what an incredible game.
Amazon has had some great PC download deals the last couple weeks. I picked up Civ 5 GOTY for less than $13. I almost didn't bite because I've never been drawn to these kinds of games.
BTW, I also picked up Europa Universalis 3 for $7 with a $23 credit I got for purchasing a $12 Paradox game bundle on Amazon. There is so much value in PC gaming! If only they could do the same deals on consoles.
Hell yeah!
Civ 5 is amazing. I played it for about 50 hours right when it came out, long enough to get all the victory conditions at least once. I've been meaning to play more since, but I'm kind of scared of falling into the addiction again!
Europa Universalis is a real head trip. Let us know if you figure it out! Was Magicka a part of that Paradox bundle?
Last night I finished my second run of Diablo III, and I'm ready to start Hell mode with my level 51 Wizard. I want to hit 60 and get to Inferno to farm loot before I stop giving it the majority of my attention.
Yes, the Magicka collection was part of that bundle that included Crusader Kings II, Victoria 2, and Star Sword 1 and 2.
With it I got 2 x $23 credits that can be used only for Europa Universalis 3 and Hearts of Iron 3. I bit on EU3 but Hearts of Iron looks a little too dry.
Play Magicka, there's nothing like it. It's crazy and hilarious. Don't be surprised if you get stuck somewhere on a boss you can't kill; it has crazy difficulty spikes.
